Harold A. Haumesser, Jr. of
Carlyle died Monday, December 29, 2008 at the age of 78 years. He was
born in Wade Township/Clinton County, Illinois on April 11, 1930 the son
of Harold A. Haumesser, Sr. and Lisette Lappe.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Pansy Defend.
Mr. Haumesser is survived by nieces and nephews: Larry Defend and wife
Rose of Nashville, TN, Max Defend of Carlyle, John Defend and wife Susie
of Trenton, Judy Defend of Centralia, Cindy Hoerchler and husband Dan of
Carlyle; great nieces and great nephews: Benessa Defend of Yokohama,
Japan, Caleb Defend of Nashville, TN., Lisette Libscomb of Atlanta, GA.
and Lexie Defend of Trenton; and a special friend Geraldine Strotheide
of Carlyle.
Harold was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Carlyle
where he had served on the Church Council and the Finance Board. He was
also a member of the Clinton County Farm Bureau and the Clinton County
Electrical Co-Op.
A celebration of Harold’s life will be Wednesday December 31, 2008 at
12:00 noon at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle. The interment will
follow at Carlyle Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle
on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
Memorials may be made in Harold’s memory to the family and those will be
received at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle
