Kent V. Jannett of St.
Louis, formerly of Carlyle, IL, died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at St. St
Louis at the age of 34 years. He was born in Centralia, Illinois on
December 22, 1974 the son of Dennis and Bonnie (Mahlandt) Jannett.
Kent is survived by his mother: Bonnie Worth and husband Bob of
Mehlville, Missouri; a sister: Stephanie Caulfield and husband Patrick
of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin; a twin brother: Keith Jannett and special
friend Sarah Grantham of Breese; maternal grandmother: Lila Mahlandt of
Carlyle; nieces and nephews: Carly Jannett, Cheyenne Grantham, Jack and
Rachel Caulfield; aunt: Mildred Purdue; and his stepmother: Nancy
Jannett.
Mr. Jannett was preceded in death by his father: Dennis “D.J.” Jannett;
and his grandfather: Vernon Mahlandt who he shared his middle name with.
Kent was a warehouse worker for Catholic Supply in St. Louis. He was an
avid sports fan, especially enjoying St. Louis Cardinal baseball and
wrestling. Funeral services for Mr. Jannett will be Friday, May 15, 2009
at 11:00 A.M. at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle with Rev. Jack
DeWees officiating. The interment will follow at Yingst Cemetery in
Wheatfield Township.
Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home on
Thursday from 4 to 8:00 P.M. or on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until the time
of services.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in Kent’s memory to the charity of
the donor’s choice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral
Home in Carlyle.
